The One2Clean sewage treatment plant from Graf will treat the water, so that it is clean enough to be discharged into a water course (depending on how frequently it is being used and the manufacturer’s guidelines). However, One2Clean sewage treatment plants do require a power source and requires emptying approximately every year.

The water discharged from the One2Clean packaged treatment plant must meet the relevant British Standard which is BS EN 12566 for small sewage treatment plants and BS 6297:2007 for drainage fields.

Graf One2Clean Sewage Treatment Plant Process

• Untreated waste enters the One2Clean tank via the inlet on the side.
• Wastewater then falls directly into the biological zone where the treatment takes place, allowing micro-organisms to start the breakdown process.
• Compressed air is used initially for aeration through the diffuser, intermittent to achieve the best treatment performance.
• Aeration is then stopped allowing the activated waste to sink to the bottom.
• Compressed air is sent through the One2Clean tank once again, extracting the cleaned water near the surface.
• This water passes through a sampling point before leaving the plant, where samples can be taken to confirm the quality of effluent.
• The above process occurs twice per day, each lasting 12 hours.
• The sludge which builds up at the bottom of the tank must also be emptied in line with the manufacturer’s instructions
• Numerous companiescan dispose of the waste, these must be a registered waste carrier
